Sharlene has been badgering me to let her learn ballet. Whenever she sees her piao cheh goes for ballet class, she'll start pestering me again. Mummy, can I go ballet? Please mummy, I want to go....and she can go on and on until I say, ok, ok we shall go next time. Just to placate her...heheh. Sometimes, she would even cry and ask why I didn't want to let her go.
Her wish of wanting to learn ballet finally came true last Tuesday. I brought her to the center for a trial class before enrolling her. We waited for a while before the teacher brought her to the dancing room. Both hubby and I stayed outside the room but we secretly watched her from a glass window. At the beginning, I noticed she was a tad shy and reserve but after a while, she began to follow what the teacher does and I can see she’s really happy and enjoying her lesson very much. 45 minutes later, she walked out from the room smiling from ear to ear. At that moment, I was quite certain that she likes ballet. We'd wanted to enrol her on that day but the teacher told us to do it next week as she's going to have her next class soon.
So, we went there again this week, which was 3 days ago to enroll her in the class. She should be getting her ballet leotard, tutu, shoes and other stuff next week. Wahh, all these really cost quite a lot leh. I really hope she will not come and tell me one day that she doesn't wish to learn ballet anymore. Anyway, I can’t wait to see my little ballerina and the way she looks in her ballet costume :D Now I begin to ponder whether should I keep her hair long as I notice most of the students there have long hair?? Hrmmm...perhaps I should let her decide.

I can't wait to see her in her ballet costume. If you intend to let her sit for the ballet exam, her hair must be tied neatly in a bun during the exam. Long hair looks nicer leh but very mah fun to wash, dry and maintain it.
Then I wonder, she must keep long fringe too? Coz I noticed all those ballet dancers have no fringe at all..
She would look so adorable in that pink tutu for sure...
Oh .... I also can't wait to see her in her ballet tutu :) :) I think she is excited and mommy and daddy are excited too :) She sure is growing up now and attending her first ballet lesson .... how sweet is that :) :)
Was Sharlene in the same class with the cousin?
I guess Sharlene would like to keep her hair long and tie her hair with a bun. Sure looked cute and nice!
Dun forget to snap the picture of this little ballerina.
I'm sure she looks vy cute in leotard n tutus. Lil ballerinas sure look much sweeter with long hair bunned up. But long hair more difficult to take care n manage. Luckily my girl agrees to keep her hair short. :)
Oh..Sharlene is learning ballet now. I want to see her in her ballerina costume too. :) I'm thinking of cutting Gwen's long hair coz it's so 'mah fan' to comb and style it...but I do agree girls look lovelier with long hair..hehe
Enjoy your ballet classes, Sharlene.
Oh wow! A ballerina in the making...Can't wait to see your gal dressed up in her tutu!
I would keep her hair long - it is so much easier to do things with if you keep it that way...
Good luck & hope you keep us posted.... maybe I'll be featuring her on my website one day....
Can't wait to see her in her ballet costume. btw, how much do the classes cost?
Hi everyone,
I'll surely post photos of her in her ballet costume...
Joanne : Sharlene and her piao cheh aren't in the same class and they go to the center on different days.
Adrine : The monthly fee for beginner class is only RM40/=. She only needs to attend 1 ballet lesson per week.
it's great that she wants to do these extra curricular stuff herself, no need to force. so she'll love it even more!
